All about Decent

Decent provides multi-chain NFT infrastructure that makes creation and transaction of all NFTs a simple and easy user experience.
Developers can use simple, well-documented SDKs that abstract Solidity and enable cross-chain transactions so that they can focus on their applications, not blockchain nuances.
Creators can leverage the Creator HQ to deploy, manage, and analyze their NFT collections without code.
Collectors can browse collections deployed through the Decent protocol on our Explore page, and curate their favorite collections using our API endpoints.

Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon.

The Box enables 1-click checkout for purchasing any NFT, with any token, across chains and primary and secondary sales. The Box meets collectors at their point of liquidity, enabling them to spend tokens seamlessly across chains. Developers can implement The Box by easily importing just one React component.

Layer 2's like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon offer substantially cheaper transaction fees and faster confirmation times. We recommend using these chains for the best user experiences. You will need tokens native to each chain to make transactions on them. To add tokens on these chains, we recommend bridging your tokens from Ethereum. Visit our bridge application or onboard fiat directly via Coinbase and wallets like Rainbow.

Layer two chains provide users with cheap and fast transactions while offering Ethereum's level of security. Some examples of layer two chains include Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon zkEVM, and zkSync. With Ethereum, each user pays a gas fee to purchase space for their action within a block. Layer two's enable orders of magnitude more transactions to be included in an Ethereum block. This brings the cost to purchase block space down significantly for users. Layer two's do this by batching thousands of transactions together and publishing them as just one transaction to Ethereum. It is much faster to confirm that your transaction will be included in a batch than it is for Ethereum validators to come to consensus that your transaction is valid. Therefore, confirmations on layer two's are also much faster.

The Box

The Box enables 1-click checkout for purchasing any NFT, with any token, across chains and primary and secondary sales. The Box meets collectors at their point of liquidity, enabling them to spend tokens seamlessly across chains. Developers can implement The Box by easily importing just one React component.

Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon.

The Box charges 0.00044 ETH on Arbitrum and Optimism, 0.00077 ETH on Ethereum, and 0.81 MATIC on Polygon for transactions that are not a direct mint or secondary purchase - e.g., if you're transacting on the chain of the NFT, in the native token, there is no Box fee. Fees are shared between Decent and the implementing application. There are no subscription or API usage-based fees for development teams.

SDK

You can find extensive documentation for The Box, core protocol SDK, interactive API endpoints, and demo recipes on our documentation site.

The SDK enables developers to easily build NFT projects across chains with JavaScript. You can view available release mechanisms, utility wrappers, and infrastructure modules in our documentation, here.

Decent's API makes it easy to return detailed information about collections deployed through the Decent Protocol, as well as retrieve and update allowlists. To receive an API key, please submit this form.

Decent offers a number of template repositories that are the fastest way to get up and running with both the core protocol and Box SDKs. These repositories serve as a useful reference for SDK implementation. You can find links to the available repositories here: Starter Repo Documentation.

HQ

The Decent Creator HQ provides no-code tools to build, manage, and analyze highly customizable NFT projects. Choose from a variety of NFT contracts, including Editions (721A), Series (1155), Rentables (4907A), or Crescendo (bonding curve), so that the collector experience matches your goals. Once deployed, you can update your collection, analyze your collector base, and plug your NFTs into third-party apps via the admin dashboard.

Click the "Help me choose" button in the Creator HQ. We'll help you match the goals you have for your collection to the best contract for you. You can learn more about each contract by selecting it in the HQ to view case studies and our YouTube tutorials. For the most detailed explanation of each contract type, please visit: our documentation.

Apps let you get the most out of your collections by plugging your NFTs into discovery, community, or analytics tools. Apps set you up for success either by providing your collectors with unique experiences and perks for collecting, or letting you understand the results of a release. Are we missing your favorite tool? Reach out to [email protected]. We’re always looking for new applications to integrate into the Decent app ecosystem.

Yes! Decent provides best in class management tools, letting you update collection properties including sale start and end date, allowlists, and metadata. Visit the admin dashboard for your collection to view capabilities.

After deploying, you will automatically receive a Decent collection page from which people can mint. Once one NFT has been minted, it will appear on OpenSea and other secondary marketplaces. Decent has also integrated with Daylight, Bonfire, Spinamp, Future Tape, and Ooh La La. These integrations enable the following:
- Daylight: pushes wallet and email notifications to addresses on your allowlists notifying them that they are eligible to collect.
- Bonfire: native support for Decent contracts in their custom creator sites. Just paste your contract details and drag & drop minting blocks into your site.
- Spinamp, Ooh La La, & Future Tape: distribute your music NFTs to top web3 streaming applications.

Developers can easily create Custom Minting Pages using this template. The template includes thorough documentation, step-by-step instructions, and a video tutorial. Custom minting pages have become a Decent staple, facilitating novel releases including:
- Optimistic World: commemorative NFT accompanying Worldcoin's announcement that they would be moving to Optimism.
- Ziggy Season 1 Thank You: free claim requiring collectors to validate their email address. Introduced "magic transactions," gasless claims that do not require the user to sign a wallet transaction.
- Jia Launch: free claim providing collectors the option to donate to Jia's user base in emerging markets.

Via The Box and NFT protocol, Decent charges 0.00044 ETH on Arbitrum and Optimism, 0.00077 ETH on Ethereum, and 0.81 MATIC on Polygon for transactions that are not a direct mint or secondary purchase - e.g., if you are transacting on the chain of the NFT, in the native token, there is no Box fee.
